Recently, a select group from our Bounteous x Accolite team attended Adobe's Commerce Partner Days at their office in Austin, Texas. This event seamlessly blended business and technology, with our team actively taking part in both tracks. It was an incredible opportunity to delve into the latest Adobe Commerce technology innovations and go-to-market strategies.  The technical sessions were particularly enriching, filled with valuable insights and hands-on labs focused on Adobe's experience-led commerce platform. Additionally, we engaged directly with Adobe's engineers in a hackathon.

The technical track covered a range of crucial topics and new tools, of which Bounteous x Accolite is an early adopter. These advancements are essential for staying ahead in the Adobe Commerce ecosystem.

Integration Starter Kit

Adobe is revolutionizing the integration process with the introduction of App Builder, simplifying and streamlining connectivity for Adobe Commerce with other systems.  Through the provision of pre-built templates and tools, Adobe empowers businesses to effortlessly develop cloud-native, events-driven integrations with third-party systems.  This advancement significantly reduces the time and effort traditionally required for integration tasks.

One of the standout features is the recently released back-office starter kit, a game-changer for businesses seeking seamless connectivity. Additionally, the promise of upcoming pre-built ERP integrations for SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Dynamics 365 holds great potential. These integrations aim to accelerate the synchronization of essential data such as products, orders, customers, inventory, and shipments, promising up to a 50% reduction in development costs.

Our Adobe Commerce team has been actively exploring and experimenting with the Integration Starter Kit since its general release in May. We're excited about the possibilities it presents for enhancing our integration capabilities and driving efficiency in our processes.

API Mesh

API Mesh, an orchestration layer within App Builder, empowers developers to seamlessly integrate both private and third-party APIs with Adobe products and APIs. This innovative tool enables developers to consolidate multiple data sources into a single, queryable GraphQL endpoint, simplifying data retrieval and improving performance.

By consolidating diverse data sources through a unified gateway and providing customized responses, API Mesh enhances the end-user experience and ensures extensibility in accessing backend services.

Data Sharing

The Data Connection module for Adobe Commerce extends merchants' data-sharing capabilities, offering greater control to power personalized experiences. This integration with Adobe Experience Platform enables merchants to collect and analyze customer data, triggering personalized customer journeys, activating targeted audiences, and gathering valuable insights to enhance marketing strategies.

Recently, Adobe augmented the Data Connection module with the supplemental Audience Activation module. This addition allows merchants to further personalize Adobe Commerce using Adobe Real-Time CDP audiences.

To delve deeper into how Bounteous x Accolite can unlock Commerce data to personalize the entire shopper journey, check out our blog post on how we extended Adobe's Data Connection module to help Coca-Cola maximize its Adobe stack. By integrating behavioral data, profile data, and product/brand affinities, Coca-Cola exemplified the power of this enhancement by delivering highly tailored re-engagement campaigns with impressive results.

Edge Delivery Services + Drop-ins

Adobe is revolutionizing eCommerce storefront performance with Edge Delivery Services, aiming to provide the fastest storefront experiences in the industry.  Leveraging a content delivery network (CDN), Edge Delivery Services significantly reduces page load times, thereby enhancing user experience and driving higher engagement and conversion rates.

Edge Delivery Services is a composable set of services that enables a rapid development environment where authors can update and publish quickly, and new sites are launched rapidly. As part of Edge Delivery Services, Adobe is developing a series of Commerce-enabled drop-in components known as the Adobe Commerce Boilerplate.  These modular, pre-built components streamline development processes and are optimized for peak performance.

Our AEM development team has been actively exploring these advancements by integrating Adobe Storefront with Edge Delivery Services.

Catalog Service

The Catalog Service plays a crucial role in efficiently managing large product inventories and diverse catalogs.  Functioning as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) version of your catalog indexed and served from the edge, the Catalog Service for Adobe Commerce extension provides rich view-model (read-only) catalog data, enabling quick and complete rendering of product-related storefront experiences.

Customers who utilize the Catalog Service can benefit from faster price change updates and synchronization times. Moreover, it serves as the foundation for Adobe's AI-powered tools like Live Search and Product Recommendations, enriching the shopping experience through personalized and relevant product suggestions.

We've successfully implemented Adobe's Sensei-powered AI solutions, including Live Search and Product Recommendations, for multiple clients. Leveraging the underlying Catalog Service's GraphQL system, these behaviors deliver optimal performance compared to similar in-process queries.

Attending Adobe's Commerce Partner Days was both informative and valuable for our team. We expanded our knowledge of the latest Adobe Commerce technologies, engaged in hands-on labs, and collaborated with Adobe's engineers in a hackathon.  These experiences have reinforced our expertise and commitment to staying at the forefront of eCommerce innovation.

We’re excited to integrate these advanced solutions and continue delivering exceptional experiences for our clients. With the new advancements in Edge Delivery Services, the Catalog Service, and AI-powered tools like Live Search and Product Recommendations, we are well-equipped to enhance user experiences and drive growth.

We look forward to further collaboration with Adobe and other industry leaders as we continue to innovate and excel in digital commerce. We'll keep you updated on our progress and the new possibilities we’re exploring with Adobe Commerce.
